Venue:
Bratislava is a small historical city, but the largest in Slovakia and the youngest European metropolis. It was for centuries a small town near the imperial capital of Vienna and thrived best during the peak of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Bratislava has a very pleasant medieval inner city with narrow, winding streets, a hill-top castle next to the river Danube, and many historic churches and buildings to visit. The maze of cobblestone streets is mostly limited to pedestrians. Shade trees and fountains decorate small parks, and you have an abundant choice of cafes and restaurants, with outdoor seating in appropriate seasons and places.
Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel:
The hotel serves as a luxurious retreat, where visitors can enjoy not only comfortable accommodation, but also top conference facilities, an excellent hotel restaurant, an experiential fusion bar and a pleasant summer terrace. After a comprehensive reconstruction and reopening in 2001, this legendary hotel has become an essential destination for discerning guests from home and abroad. The Carlton Hotel is a historic, centrally located landmark with roots dating back to the 13th century, originally serving as "The Swan" inn. Officially inaugurated as the Carlton-Savoy in 1912 after merging three separate buildings, it became a hub for dignitaries and artists like Thomas Edison and Alfred Nobel. Following WWII, it was restored and reopened in 2001, blending classic Art Nouveau charm with modern luxury. For the residents of the city itself this is not merely a luxury hotel. It is a legend. Maria Theresa had a room arranged here and Jules Verne scribbled notes on a new novel in the evenings. The Carlton Hotel tells its own story, which doesn’t allow it to be buried in the dust of the past centuries, and even today it will provide you with a unique fairy tale atmosphere.
